AJC Peachtree 10k race

July 4th brings the Atlanta Journal Constitution 10k road race. 55,000 participants run in this race. Weather was 74 degrees. Kool for this time of year. I got a good spot at the finish and was able to get some good shots. Just few below.

This was one of two fire fighters that I saw completing the race. They were lucky that the temperature was as low as it was with all that gear... Must be something that they make the rookies do..

Peachtree 10k road race winning TEREFE MAREGU from Ethiopia. 28:30.....

Wheelchair race winner. These guys finished the race in 19 minutes.
Wheelchair 2nd place winner

Another of the top 5. Kool shot..

The boys and I went on a couple day camping trip to Lake Winfield Scott in North Georgia. Nice place with a stocked lake. Good relaxing few days.

As TJ set up the whole camp, Sam leaned on the car. The car didn't role away - good job Sam.
TJ kicked back with a coffee after getting us established in the camp site.

All set....

Fun with the flashlight and camara at night around the fire...
Arguing politics again....

We took in a little swimming... Sam forgot his back pack with all his clothes. He had to wear his Dad's swimming trunks.

Now on to Ryland's favorite - fishing. He baits his own hooks and insists on taking the caught fish off the line for everyone. Really...

A fine cast.

After all the activities of the day - nothing beats canned beef stew and beans.

TJ gave a guided tour of the lake to Sam. TJ looks like he could host his own show.

Nice shot of the lake in early evening. Small 18 acre lake.

Mr. Outdoors going after some trout...

End of the day.
